Hydroxy Ethyl Cellulose For Oil Drilling
HEC (hydroxyethyl cellulose) is a kind of water-soluble nonionic cellulose ether from natural cellulose through chemical modification. It is tasteless, odorless, non-toxic and white or yellowish solids in powder form.
HEC is nonionic cellulose ether. It is easily dissolved in cold and hot water, resulting in a solution with a wide range of viscosity. It has many functions, including thickening, binging, emulsifying, dispersing, water-maintaining and colloid stabilizing and protecting.
Hydroxyethyl Cellulose can be used as a thickener and cementing agent of workover fluid for oil wells. It helps to provide with the clear solution with a low fixed content, thus greatly reducing the damage to the structure of oil wells. The liquid with Hydroxyethyl Cellulose used for thickening gets easily decomposed by the acid, enzyme or oxidizing agent, and greatly enhances the ability of hydrocarbon recovery.
In the oil well fluid, hydroxyethyl cellulose is used as the carrier of proppant. These fluids can be easily decomposed by the the processes described above.

Storage and Shelf Life:
Should be stored in a cool and dry place and protected from moisture. Storage temperature should be less than 30 Deg. C as the risk of caking. Do not stack pallets too high to avoid compaction. It is recommended to use these products within six months of purchase. When you can’t use out the goods on time, must seal it again.
